Windows 7 RC

If you are a techy or at least you were keeping an eye on Windows 7 release updates then it is the time you know that the Beta expired, how do i know that? oh well, it will shut yoru computer down every two hours, better than not running at all if you ask me.

To avoid this, i went to microsoft website where they offer the Windows 7 download as usual (with the product key), i downloaded the RELEASE CANDIDATE or what is known online as the RC. Now, on torrent websites there is even an RTM (Release to Manufacturer) copy, but i wont rely on that, not yet.

How to upgrade from Beta to RC?

Normally, Microsoft will ask you to do a clean install, but i won’t bother backing my data up and installing a million software and drivers again! so i was digging around for an answer.

I downloaded the ISO (Disk image) from Microsoft – 2.34 gb, not small! when you shut down every two hours!

Extracted the ISO (using whatever program you prefer for that) to a director, i modified one INI file according to nirmaltv.com (http://www.nirmaltv.com/2009/05/02/how-to-upgrade-from-windows-7-beta-to-rc-build/) and believe me (if you are too decent) this is not messing around with the installation files, you are just letting the RC know that it is on the same BUILD level as the Beta … So you can upgrade! remember we downloaded directlt from Microsoft and not a torrent!

Then i copied the whole extracted directory to a DVD-RW (in case things went loco then i could burn the whole thing on the DVD again and again), ran the setup and here i am using the WINDOWS 7 RC!

Truth is, i like Windows 7, it is reliable and fast! my Adobe Programs like it as well, it was bugging me about Adobe Encore in the installation so i got to go check if it deleted it or something.

Visually, it is relaxed and hip, it is a step up from Weird Vista and a whole leap away from XP (although it is a stable OS but it is boring).

You got to give it to the big boys! they are doing a good job in this Windows Release! waiting for the whole thing next year, for the time being, i will be testing Windows 7! Microsoft is sure cutting off good expenses on QA this time, they make the people the QA, good idea!

Shyamalan is not the best director in the world, so i hope the film will be saved by a huge amount of cool CG and VFX!

Zelda 2010

If you know me, or if we spoke at least once you will know that i am a huge fan of Zelda games, i even have the triforce tattooed on my back, Seriously!

So this is the first and only image that Nintendo released after E3 …

The poster shows Adult Link with his shield only (no sword) and a curious creature! that is not the twighlight Princess Midna for sure, and according to IGN.com speculations that IS the master sword! so yeah, wow! ok .. what?

Nintendo is very hush hush about Zelda, maybe because it is only decent game they have … i am sorry, i like Nintendo, they do not use blood, sex and violence which is good … but we can not survive on too many Mario Games! really!

I will be following blogs and websites to sniff around for The Legend of Zelda (2010), which is of course a Wii Only game! so if you did not play The Twighlight Princess, you MUST! it is the best Zelda Game ever, do not believe the Hype about the Zelda games on DS … they are ok! but they are not great.

Let’s see if any of what the fans said is true about the upcoming Zelda game! one guys speculated Zelda in the future, another Psycho Link Wannabe ..etc.

I won’t speculate untill i see more images, Nintedo do not have the BIG surprise factor … so it will be just another Twilight Princess game, i bet!

Death comes in short notice, but when it does it takes the best out there! So H., wherever you are now, i know you will rock the heavens out with your Guitar and firey spirits … May your soul be at peace finally! You will be remembered.

PSP Don’t GO!

Sony is just trying to be cool, we know they failed in their PS3 and they could not pull their failure with 3 PSPs in the market, i mean i have a PSP (which is the fatest first Momma of them all, it is the PSP 1002) then came the slim then came the 3000 then comes the horrible ugly kid PSP GO! which does not have a UMD drive! so you can only download the games .. having said that, the games will be terrible and the focus will only be on viewing Music and Movies! So Sony … Why didn’t you just release somehing away from the PSP!? PSP was your only good thing after PS2 … this is such a waste !

PSP GO will come out this fall, and i know from now that it will fail, people already got their PSPs and their game collections (or their ISO collections), and they still want  to play Crisis Core, God of War, NFS, Burnout ..etc. PSP GO will have an Amnesia about all of that!

All PSP users, do not believe in the HYPE! stick to your PSP

note: Will there be a Nintendo DSi PLUS ? maybe they forgot to add something last time and they are thinking “Damn! we will release a new one!” … Anyways, i am really feeling sad for Nintendo and Sony right now, and even sadder that i even started to like Microsoft with its ENORMOUS additions to their xbox 360 and even the Windows 7 !

Oh, PSP GO promises 16 gb of memory, but the heck! just buy yourself a couple good Memory Sticks, i have two already.

Better, buy yourself an iPhone! and be the next loser touching his screen to have an orgasm!
